AND WHEREAS IN-SYNC EXOTICS IS CURRENTLY THE FOREVER HOME TO MORE THAN 70 LIONS, TIGERS, COUGARS, SERVALS AND OTHER EXOTIC FELINES. AND WHEREAS UNDER THE 25 PLUS YEARS OF VICKI KAY'S LEADERSHIP, IN-SYNC EXOTICS HAS FULFILLED ITS MISSION BY RESCUING AND REHABILITATING HUNDREDS OF NEGLECTED, ABUSED AND UNWANTED EXOTIC FELINES. IT'S GIVEN OUT BY THE MUNICIPAL CLERKS ASSOCIATION AND HAS ONLY BEEN GOING FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS. WELL, ABOUT FIVE YEARS NOW, IT SEEMS. TIME SEEMS TO FLY. WHEN YOU GO BACK TO 2020, YOU THINK IT WAS YESTERDAY, BUT IT'S BEEN A FEW MORE YEARS THAN THAT. BUT IT'S ONLY AVAILABLE TO THOSE WHO ARE LED BY REGISTERED MUNICIPAL CLERKS HERE WITHIN THE STATE. WE HAVE TWO CURRENTLY ON STAFF, WITH A THIRD WORKING ON THAT DESIGNATION AS WELL. DOES HAVE A DETAILED APPLICATION PROCESS THAT I KNOW YOU WENT THROUGH, AND THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THAT YOU ALL ARE BEING RECOGNIZED FOR THIS. SO I'D LIKE TO LET YOU ALL INTRODUCE YOURSELVES. WE ENSURE THAT'S UPDATED AND CURRENT, ADMINISTER AND FACILITATE THE CITY MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS. BUT WHY DON'T YOU GIVE PEOPLE AN IDEA, FOR INSTANCE, HOW MANY DIFFERENT REQUESTS THAT WE GET FROM A VOLUME STANDPOINT IN GENERAL FOR PUBLIC INFORMATION REQUESTS ALONE? SO WE DO NOT TYPICALLY PROCESS POLICE RELATED REQUESTS UNLESS IT IS MIXED WITH FIRE AND DISPATCH. THEN OUR OFFICE HANDLES. BUT PD RECORDS HANDLE THEIR OWN. SO JUST ALL THE OTHER REQUESTS FOR THE CITY WE ARE AVERAGING RIGHT NOW BETWEEN 25 TO 35 NEW REQUESTS AND ONE WEEK. AND JUST DOING OUR PERFORMANCE MEASURES FOR THE UPCOMING BUDGET YEAR. LOOKING AT LAST YEAR AT THIS TIME, WHICH WE ACTUALLY SUBMITTED THOSE ABOUT TWO WEEKS LATER LAST YEAR WERE UP ALMOST 300 REQUESTS THIS YEAR BY THIS TIME THAN WE WERE LAST YEAR AT THIS TIME. SO IT HAS INCREASED A LOT THE VOLUME AND THAT THAT IS ONE ASPECT, BUT IT IS ONE OF THE MORE IMPORTANT PARTS OF THE JOB BECAUSE WE HAVE VERY SPECIFIC GUIDELINES FROM THE TEXAS ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE THAT WE HAVE TO RESPOND AND COMPLY WITH THOSE WITHIN TEN BUSINESS DAYS, AND THERE'S REALLY NO LEEWAY ON THAT UNLESS THERE IS SPECIFIC SITUATIONS. BUT FOR THE MOST PART, WE HAVE TO. SO THOSE ARE PRIORITY DRIVEN AND TAKE PRIORITY IF WE RECEIVE A REQUEST. SO THAT'S JUST TO GIVE YOU ALL A LITTLE BIT OF AN UNDERSTANDING. THE CITY PAID EMPLOYEE PLAN, AND THEN THE EMPLOYEES WOULD HAVE TO PAY A COST IF THEY WANTED TO CONTINUE ON OUR CURRENT PPO PLAN. SO WE'RE LOOKING AT THAT TO SEE WHAT THAT WHAT THAT WOULD LOOK LIKE AND EVEN ADJUSTING THE. RIGHT NOW THE COST SHARE FOR DEPENDENT CARE IS 5050. SO THE EMPLOYEES PAYS 50% OF THE PREMIUM. THE CITY PAYS THE OTHER 50%. WE'RE LOOKING AT ADJUSTING THAT PERCENTAGE. AS WELL. WE HAVE IN THERE THE 3% AVERAGE MERIT INCREASE FOR THE GENERAL EMPLOYEES AND THE PUBLIC SAFETY STEP PLAN.
