PRESENTATIONS CITIZENS COMMENTS ON NON-AGENDA ITEMS Residents may address Council regarding an item that is not listed on the Agenda. Residents must provide their name and address. Council requests that comments be limited to three (3) minutes. In addition, Council is not allowed to converse, deliberate or take action on any matter presented during citizen participation.
REGULAR AGENDA Hold the second Public Hearing on the proposed tax rate of $0.8839 for fiscal year 2013-2014 and provide all interested persons an opportunity to be heard, either for or against the proposed tax rate; and announce the date, time and place of the meeting at which the Council will vote on the tax rate. Bantz, Finance Director) Executive Summary In accordance with the “Truth in Taxation” laws of the State of Texas, on August 13, 2013, the City Council voted on the proposed tax rate and scheduled two public hearings on the proposed tax rate. The first public hearing was held on August 27, 2013 and this is the second public hearing. The proposed 2013-14 budget is based on a tax rate of $0.8839 per $100 valuation. Any changes made to the proposed tax rate or Proposed Budget could affect required publications and steps in the tax rate and budget approval process.
